Goin’ By The Book, what an amazing song; especially as I look at the events playing out in the world today!

The lyrics to this song are perfect for what I see—as I WATCH everything around me—just as Jesus commanded all of us to do.

And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. (Mark 13:37)

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled right before our very eyes; and sadly, so many—including churches—have no interest in it at all.

The first time I heard this song was in 1999 shortly after I became a Christian.

We were all looking down the barrel of “Y2K” and many people thought it might be “The End of the World as We Know It” (“TEOTWAWKI”).

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Matt 24:6)

It did seem like the end might actually be coming then; but here I am almost 25 years later, still watching and waiting as the “Book” is fulfilled.

In these current times, it really does feel like we are much, much closer, especially when we study out the word of God and its prophecies; it’s all coming together, just as Jesus said.

So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. (Mark 13:29)

And when the Scriptures showed me that America is actually the end-times nation of Babylon, it was very sobering to read the future that the Bible foretells for America; it is not a pretty sight.

We are under God’s judgment for turning from the Lord. That is why it is imperative for us to escape through the strait gate and narrow way while there is still time.

From the Old Testament prophets to the Book of Revelation, it is all coming to pass, and blessed are they with eyes to see and ears to hear…

From the prophet Isaiah:

Isa 2:19-21

And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. (Isa 2:19)

In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; (Isa 2:20)

To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. (Isa 2:21)

Rev 6:12-17
