There Was Jesus…

Always is and Always was…

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (Heb 13:8)

Came across another song I’d never heard before until very recently and fell in love with it. What a blessing…

Such a wonderful reminder of the importance and need I have for my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, every single day.

Without Him I can do nothing. And actually, if it weren’t for the Lord I wouldn’t be alive today.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John 15:5)

For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. (1Cor 4:4)

As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. (Ps 55:16)

He has saved me from myself on many an occasion throughout my life. He was always there, watching over me…

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. (2Thess 3:3)

There Was Jesus | Demi Lee Moore & Riaan Benadé | Lyrics:

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Heb 13:5)

And now, here I am sitting in the lowest room, still hoping and waiting for Him to reveal Himself to me in the act of rebirth. Life in this world is so strange…

But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee. (Luke 14:10)

And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it? (Job 17:15)

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. (Prov 13:12)

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. (Rom 8:25)

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; (Titus 2:13)

Every time I tried to make it on my own
Every time I tried to stand and start to fall
And all those lonely roads that I have traveled on
There was Jesus

When the life I built came crashing to the ground
When the friends I had were nowhere to be found
I couldn’t see it then but I can see it now
Well, there was Jesus

In the waiting, and in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Of where I’ve been or where I’m going
Even when I didn’t know it
Or couldn’t see it
There was Jesus

For this man who needs amazing kind of grace
For forgiveness at a price I couldn’t pay
And I’m not perfect so I thank God every day
Well, there was Jesus
There was Jesus

In the waiting, and in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Of where I’ve been or where I’m going
Even when I didn’t know it
Or couldn’t see it

There was Jesus
On the mountain
In the valleys
There was Jesus
In the shadows
of the alleys
There was Jesus
In the fire, in the flood
There was Jesus
Always is and always was

No, I never walk alone
Never walk alone
You’re always there

In the waiting, in the searching
In the healing, in the hurting
Like a blessing buried in the broken pieces
Every minute, every moment
Of where I’ve been or where I’m going
Even when I didn’t know it
Or couldn’t see it
Well, there was Jesus

There was Jesus
There was Jesus
There was Jesus

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (2Pet 3:18)
